I actually just realized within the last 6 months or so that I throw a lot better completely overhand. I never noticed when I was younger that I threw 3 quarters, but a few months ago I was throwing a football and realized that overhand, I could throw just as far, harder, and typically with more accuracy. Not really sure how it's feasible to throw more accurately sidearmed, unless it's a matter of release point with a slider or something for a pitcher.

 

*I never really had to throw much. Never pitched when I played baseball (3B, OF). Never played QB in football. And I always had a good arm distance wise, but velocity sucked.

Throwing a football and a baseball are such completely different motions.
