Hawks tickets go on sale Monday. How the hell is this already happening? I'm still celebrating the Cup win.

Screw you. It's not coming soon enough. I'm done celebrating. I want to see hockey.

Still deciding if I'm going to buy the full season of center ice or wait until after Christmas. Last year I watched all but 2 of the 48 regular season games. Anyone know how much it's going to be this year? I did a survey and said the reason I wasn't renewing was it was too expensive. I feel like they know that too.

Basically every game sold out within 30 minutes except for Standing Room. Cheapest get-in was like $87 or something. Never thought I'd see the day.

Brent Seabrook just had a baby boy on Friday. The boy's middle name is "seven".

Carter Seven Seabrook

Was George Costanza following them into the delivery room?

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Teuvo Teravainen (TAY-vo tair-uh-VIGH-nen), the team’s first-round choice (18th overall) in the 2012 National Hockey League Entry Draft, on a three-year contract.

Bowman and Teravainen recently said they plan for Teravainen to play one more season in Finland before he makes a permanent move to the United States. Teravainen is expected to participate in the Blackhawks training camp in September.

I am surprised Detroit is included. I have been there for several Wings games and there are plenty of Wings fans, but it is not nearly as many that used to be in Chicago or Columbus. Maybe the Wings game is just a usual sell out and that is the Blues way of getting fans to buy tix to other games...similar I suppose to why opening night against the Preds is part of that plan.

The stitches that closed the cuts on Shaw's face brought $6,500 at an auction Sunday night. The winning bid came from Grant DePorter, owner of Harry Caray's restaurants.

You're right, it's not because of a huge influx of Detroit fans. There are some but nothing like the Chicago fans. They are just selling more tickets here.

So the Hawks signed Crawford to a 6-year extension. Don't know how I feel about that. No money given yet.

Jesus Christ. If it was 3/18 I could stomach it. This is just dumb though. I guess they plan on some big money guys moving on in the next few years, and with the cap expected to go up they won't have problems there. But this is still way too much coin for a goalie.
