Note the off day tomorrow

The Cubs and Brewers enter with identical 31-43 records

The Cubs don't usually play well at Miller Park lately, but hopefully that changes. It'd sure be nice for Starlin to get hot, and for Rizzo to stay hot.

Go Cubs!

I can't think of a Cubs team in recent memory that I cared less about

Easily last year pre-Rizzo.

Yeah, I definitely cared less the first couple months of last year and pretty much all of 2006 besides Rich Hill starts.

These last four seasons run together into a big, mushy, apathetic blur outside of the brief reprieve of Castro's debut, Shark's emergence and Rizzo. I don't include 2009 just because it at least had the chance of the success of 2008 carrying over to some degree.

Yeah, the last 4 seasons have pretty much been me excited for about a month then I stop caring (I think I was apathetic about 2 weeks in this year)

If anything, I care less this year than last. Every year we are nowhere close to competing makes me stop caring earlier.

A win in Milwaukee would be nice.

we're going to sweep

Note that Starlin Castro is progressing just fine in his transformation into K. Youkilis and do not be alarmed. Everything that has transpired has done so according to Jed and Theo's Design.

I sure hope so, I'll be there tonight and Thursday afternoon. I went to the first series up here and tailgaited in the crap weather (including snow) only to see two losses.

@Plesac19: Happy 35th bday to #brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez! One hit shy of 2,000 in his career too. This guy is an RBI machine.

Looks like there's a pretty good chance that Rammy celebrates his 35th B Day by collecting his 2,000th hit. Good for him.

Castro not starting for the first time since July 6 of last year. The last time he didn't play at all or had less than 2 PA was August 22, 2011.

Castro sits today. Ransom plays short.

Must be in effort to up Ransom's value from throw in to slightly more attractive throw in.

It's because Castro sucks right now and the FO thinks he needs a day off.

While this is all very true, if it was that simple I'd expect them to move Barney to SS, and Valbuena and Ransom at 2nd and 3rd or vice versa. That and the fact that we have 6 outfielders. But hey, who doesn't like outfielders?
