Raisin what do you see Lang's ceiling as?

Well, when he's on, he has a nice 92-94 mph FB and a good slider but no third pitch so his ceiling is probably a late inning pen arm. He's immensely raw since he's a position player convert and he's got pretty poor control, so he's going to take a long time.

@JesseSanchezMLB: Source: Cuban pitcher Armando Rivero expected to make his pro debut this week with #Cubs Class-A Kane County. He's been at Extended Spring.

Just found out now that I'm going to the Midwest League All Star Game tonight. I don't follow the minors all that closely, so which Cubs prospects that will be there are the ones to really watch for? And also what other top prospects should I take note of?

Dan Vogelbach, Tayler Scott, and Rock Shoulders off the top of my head. Pena is a hard throwing RHP that can get a little erratic and Nathan Dorris (LHP) is there as well.

Outside of Cubs, Byron Buxton (OF), Carlos Correa (SS), and lance McCullers (RHP) will also be there and are top prospects.

Cubs All-Stars

LHP Nathan Dorris - reliever with pretty decent numbers but is old at 22, not much of a prospect

RHP Felix Pena - swingman with good control and decent stuff that I saw, very old for the Midwest league at 23

OF Bijan Rademacher - College draftee last year with good numbers, but is probably just a guy as he gets to higher levels

RHP Tayler Scott - South African SP, has some decent stuff but isn't striking anyone out

1B Rock Shoulders - Overslot draftee putting up big numbers, future 1B/DH

1B Dan Vogelbach - 2nd round pick with huge power, best prospect of the group

As for other Midwest League guys, Byron Buxton(Cedar Rapids CF) possibly the best prospect in Baseball, but I'm not overly familiar with what other big time prospects will be there.

If I were going, I'd be kind of annoyed that neither of our two best players at that level aren't at the game, but it's understandable in Almora's case, at least.

Pena is normally 88-91 so he's not really a hard thrower.

JavyBB

#1 Cubs prospect, top 5-10 in baseball if this recent trend is legit.

Don't see why it's not legit. BTW - Is Vitters hurt? I haven't heard much about him this year. Not that there's much to report just curious.
