Both Daytona games canceled. The Florida state league sucks.

Move the [expletive] out of the damn league ASAP.

I would have preferred this to leaving Peoria.

How many innings is he slated to go today? One more rehab start and then a call up?

70-75 pitches. They were hoping he'd get 5 innings in, but he's at 57 pitches thru 3.

Hit his pitch count one out into the 4th. My guess is he'll need 2 more rehab starts. Or they'll give him 2 more anyway, to maybe give them a bit more time to evaluate the current logjam.

What are the chances that Garza's traded before being activated?

Exceedingly slim because his trade value is incredibly low right now.

So are you saying he was topping out at 95-96, or that the gun had him at 88-89?

Jeffrey Baez just killing it. Almora got back in the lineup for the weekly intrasquad game - Arizona Phil had suggested it was after he had a nasty slide in his first rehab game. Alexander Santana, James Pugliese and Paul Blackburn had solid starts.

By the way, Daytona has only had 3 rainouts this year? Seems like a lot more. Doesn't change my mind they need to move out of the FSL. KC has had 6 rain/snow outs already, although I think thats more of an aberration.

By the way, am I the only one on the Contreras bandwagon at this point?

No, you're not but he definitely needs to keep this up since it's still fewer than 100 PA (thankfully he'll play a lot more with Chadd Krist up to Daytona). While the improvement in power has been great, I think the improvement in plate discipline has been the biggest thing for him. 4.6 BB% in 2011, 4.1 BB% last year but this year, a 10.7 BB%.
