I want to watch that crazy 2003 game in Milwaukee that went like a hundred innings and Wellemeyer came in for his ML debut and struck out the side.

Did CPatt hit a 3 run HR to win that in extras?

wasn't it a home rin to tie and a home run to win?

How the hell did I forget that it was off Brooks Kieschnick?

And why the hell didn't Kieschnick get a chance to play everyday in 1996?

He was good in AAA in 95 and even had a pretty good MLB cup of coffee (in a small sample)? He was also their best prospect at the time, IIRC...maybe aside from Wood, who had just been drafted.

Just eyeballing it, there wasn't much opportunity(Gonzalez, McRae, and Sosa were all prime-aged and coming off good years), plus he didn't exactly force his way onto the roster with his Iowa performance.

Here's an obscure contest: Padres 7, Cubs 4 from July 14, 1989. Tape starts in the 4th (just in time to see the play of the game.) Terrific commercials and Cubs promos intact.

Part one:

Part two:

Win or loss i love when these old ones pop up. Thanks for posting. The bottom third of the lineup that day? Vance Law-Dunston-Bielecki.

89 was such a fun year.

Not sure if this has been posted but Sammy Sosa's 2 out 9th inning homer to tie G1 of the 2003 NLCS, with Pat Hughes' call.

Man... I miss the hop.

4/18/1998

Kerry Wood's first start (and win) at Wrigley.

Part 1 -

Part 2 -

There's so many subtle but noticeable differences between 1998 Wrigley and 2014 Wrigley. The batters eye, the higher wall behind home, the old bleachers and rooftops with no seating or very primitive setups.
