Selke is the trophy for the cutest ankle tattoo acquired that season.

Datsyuk has a dolphin, one of those yin-yang symbols, a Chinese character and a butterfly.

There were many fans upset because the dolphin was hardly out on the PK that season.

Yzerman got a heart with Scotty B written through it.

So, Toews won the Selke aka Hart consolation prize.

i have no idea how Toews wins the Selke, has the kind of offensive season that he had, and isn't even a Hart finalist.

Damn, the voting was really close. Bergeron actually got 3 more first place votes than Toews (78-75) but Toews got 10 more total points 1260-1250

Both the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks won a draining, thrilling triple-OT game in their respective playoffs this season, a first for any city with an NBA and NHL team.

Lol triple OT in the NBA is still a joke compared to triple OT in the NHL.

Triple OT is more rare in the NBA than the NHL because of how much scoring there is.

It's a lot easier to walk down on offense in the NBA, but their are many more individual minutes played.

OT: man, does chara have comically small feet. Those are like anti-clown shoes

OK, no Nbcsn here at all. Any good place to watch in Madison?

Soul would know better than me, since I just moved here, but any of the Great Dane locations will have it on, probably without sound though, or there are several bars off Monroe Street or near the university that will have it.

Let me know where you go, and if my plans get cancelled tonight, I'll join you.

I will admit I have no idea which hockey trophy is which.

Here's a quick guide:

Selke: best defensive forward that plays center and scores lots of goals

Norris: highest scoring defenseman even if he's -30 on the season

Rocket Richard: Guy that scored the most goals

Hart: guy that scored the most goals that didn't win the Rocket Richard that plays in the Eastern Conference

Conn Smythe: playoff MVP (fun fact, Patrick Roy won more of these than Gretzsky)

Vezina: Owners favorite goalie

Every self-respecting sports establishment is going to have it. It's a big college hockey town and the Brewers game is going to be over. No NBA either. It's Blackhawks night all over town, whether they want it to be or not :).

If you are downtown and want to relive Patrick Kane's legendary weekend, head to Kollege Klub. I also like Echo Tap -- a little more low key. Jordan's Big 10 Pub is also a good place.

I'll be at home watching with the GF :).

Horton is playing tonight. Someone needs to tune him up early.

and often

He's crazy if he plays. There's no way anyone can protect a shoulder injury in hockey, especially one that the other team knows about. Even if they didn't, shoulder to shoulder hits happen a lot. Whenever someone is justifying a hit, the first thing they say is "He hit him in the shoulder first.

It's been speculated but has anyone confirmed it's a shoulder injury? I'd just assume it is and hit the [expletive] out of him.

And, you know, score seven goals and win a laugher. Can't handle another Game 1.

Yeah, but hasn't he been playing with it for awhile now anyway? The Hawks should definitely test it, but the Bruins really need him.

Interesting....when I suggested that Detroit knocks Chicago on it's ass after Game 1 of the ECSF's, people were somehow offended by my implication that someone tries hurting someone. But it's totally okay to "tune up" an injured Bruin?

I'm not advocating anything illegal. Probably wouldn't take that.

Emery finished 7th in the Vezina voting, Crawford 8th. Silly.

Who said anything about purposely trying to injure him? Checking is allowed in hockey and is an integral part of the game.

A clean hit was all I was advocating too, but people jumped on me for it.

Whatever

I have to say....after an almost entire games worth of sudden death hockey, its hard getting used to not getting the 'this could be it' feeling everytime either team takes it into the offensive zone
