Game. Feel bad for Kuemper.

But it was 1-0 before he came in. Kuemper can't score for them.

Oh yeah not blaming him for the loss, just saying it sucks for the kid to have to go in to such an important game like that.

Sink or swim, I guess.

My wife had JUST asked where Bickell has been.

i wish my wife knew who Bickell was

Heh, yeah she's actually gotten more into hockey than I'd have ever guessed.

Yeah, I was just happy the game effectively ended before my wife wanted to sleep.

That's the series. I'm happy but this doesn't feel like a great win. More so capitalizing on their goalie situation.

More than that it's just playing lock down defense against a team that can't score against anyone.

They've had good chances. Crows playing well though.

He is, but he's really not gotten tons of saves. Wild can't shoot on goal.

I fell alseep putting my 4 year old to bed. I woke up to find the Hawks up 2- at the end of the 2nd so I went back to sleep. Sounds like I won.

Yeah, I mean...cool, the Hawks won. But the game was a snoozer.

They had several near-goals in the second and controlled the puck most of the period. Yeah, the third was dull, but I don't think it was that boring. They were up two and forcing a bad offensive team to find good shots in a playoff game.

We need to move on and get into an interesting series. All the good storylines are elsewhere. Habs-Sens, NYI-Pens, and especially the Canucks complaining about diving. Pot, meet kettle doesn't even start to describe that one. Loved Burish, who said if Bieksa wants to talk about diving he should talk to Kesler and Burrows.

I would be fine with a lack of interesting storylines.

Just wins please.

like that

I know theres still a series for the Hawks to win and I'm not assuming anything, but if the Hawks can finish off the Wild, they will be playing either the 6 seeded Sharks (won their series) or the 7 seeded Red Wings (tied 2-2). If the Wings beat the Ducks it will be them, otherwise it will be SJ. Who would you rather play?

I think I'd rather play Detroit but I don't have a strong preference either way...I think we can win both series.

The Wings are more of a known commodity. Most of the games against the Sharks feel like they were really early in the season, before the deadline anyway. Since then they have been playing a lot better. I agree that the Hawks can win either series but the Wings would have to be the easier of the 2 opponents.

I'm still rooting for the "no west coast games" scenario of Min-Det-Stl.

Yes, I am all for that as well.

Meh.

I think this would have been a good year for the Hawks and their media to really push for Seabrook as a Norris candidate. Seabrooks lack of a top notch offensive game will make it hard for him to ever be a candidate. But this year the finalists are uninspiring. The Hawks are the best defensive team in the league and Seabrook is one of the best defensive players in the league. It would been a good year to push for him to win The Norris. A lot of hockey media guys may have run with it this year.

what? no. brent seabrook was like the 4th-best defenseman on the hawks this year. he was such a lump of [expletive] at one point that Q sat him. he belongs nowhere near the norris trophy
