I have roughly 55 million for 14 players with arb estimates, though that could be driven down if they buyout Sweeney, non-tender Wood, etc.

I don't think this office could find $60m worth of free agents they'd want in an offseason under this CBA.

Lester, Scherzer and Martin probably get close to that

 

That would be more than 60M. I think Kyle's key qualifier was "they'd want" There's still a small part of me worried that they're going to continue taking a hard line against what they deem a player is worth and let him walk if bidding goes beyond that.

Lazy on my part, read a tweet the other day that used that wording and didn't double check. Alternatively, they could probably trade Sweeney for a song to get rid of his minimal salary I guess.

literally almost walked into anthony rizzo in the baby aisle at cvs (in vegas) just now lmao

 

i just walked into the aisle and was like uh WTF? he saw me wearing a bulls shirt so i think he might have realized he was recognized but i didn't bother him or anything so idk.

 

he and his buddies were buying the same thing we were...pedialyte
