Prior just wants to take one more [expletive] in Dusty's corner of the dugout before he hangs 'em up for good.

Hasn't Dusty [expletive] him over enough?

Maybe he's there to exact his revenge?

Why wouldn't the Cubs have offered this?

I think we all know the answer to this.

Because of the media circus?

Because, baseball wise, this fits their plan to sign every injured guy who has a chance to make it look like a good investment. A strategy that I am completely on board with.

Come on, this front office has done pretty much everything possible to distance themselves from the previous regime. No way they let Prior come in here at this point.

I disagree. I think this front office will do whatever is best for the team and any ties to the previous regime are irrelevant.

Whats this about the cubs strategy fitting Prior. He's hardly pitched what, in 6-7 years? And not at all in the majors. I don't care what injury examples you can show me from this regime, thats an extreme to a whole other level, and silly to think it fits their strategy.

And also has nothing to do with distancing themselves from the last FO.

Too weird if Prior's career begins, ends, begins again, and then ends AGAIN -- all at the hands of Dusty Baker.
