There was also a player who tweeted his disgust at the Sun Bowl selection last month and then he released a statement if apology later (clearly crafted by USC's PR people).

 

I'm pretty bummed next year is Lane's last season.

 

Another played tweeted that el Paso is shitty, then deleted it and apologized. It's awesome.

Whoops - I missed it earlier but your link mentioned the Burnett tweet too.

 

Haha, I'm expecting them to get blown out by a bad Georgia Tech team. The link had it right - they were barely above .500, they have no reason to complain about the bowl game they're at.

USC is a 9 point favorite and the public is heavily on Georgia Tech. Kind of weird because I'm sure Vegas is paying attention too.

Barkley officially out. He ends up playing one bowl game (in San Francisco) in four years at USC.

Probably neither? It's not Barkley's fault USC is on sanctions and has a [expletive] coach. I'm not a huge Landy Jones fan, but he threw like 200 TDs. He's not a Heisman winner, but it's hard to call a 4-year starter a disappointment.

Yeah, if there's one thing that'll stop OU fans from calling their QBs a disappointment it's if they win a Heisman.

On SportsCenter, they timed his final 40 on that play at 3.84 seconds.

137 yards after 3 quarters. Lane makes me appreciate Mack Brown, something that's not easy to do anymore.

I can only assume Wittek lost the starting QB job for next year with his wonderful 14-37, 107 yard, 1 TD, 3 INT effort today.

Against a pretty bad defense.

 

Where was Barkley? Wittek looked lost (and apparently was with the 3 picks). Couldn't believe MB didn't have some words of advice. I expected him to be in Wittek's ear every time he walked off the field.
