I guess the good news is that the Bears gained 2 wins over +500 teams this week and are now 3-5 against teams with +500 records (W: IND, DAL, MIN, L: GB, HOU, SF, SEA, MIN).

The bad news is that this has nothing to do with anything.

LOL Tampa Bay lost on the last play...

Other than the Cowboys, the Bucs were the 2nd least worrisome team below us because of their horrid conference record. But I'll take it I guess

Oh I know, but this def takes them out of the picture now so 1 less team to worry about. The question will be the NFC east if Giants loses to the Saints. Do Bears have tiebreaker over Giants if they ended up not winning the division? Because we basically want the Cowboys to be 2nd in that division so Bears have a better chance at playoffs.

I'm gonna run though the tiebreaker picture at some point today. I will say the Giants would have a 6-4 conference record after losing tonight, with the Bears at 5-4. That means the Giants only have 2 more conference games left. The target for the Bears is probably 10-6, meaning if they won 2 and lost 1, they'd be at 7-5. The Giants to tie the Bears would have to win all 3 of their remaining games, which means they would win the tiebreaker with a better conference record.

Of course none of this considers 3 team scenarios and everything else.

Ok, I made a huge mistake in accidentally turning CSN on. Jim Miller needs to get cockpunched.

What was he saying?

Next weeks game is gonna bury this team barring more Cutler to Marshall magic

All-in-all I watch very little pre/post game coverage anymore.

What's the point? It's the same dozen or so segments, over & over & over again.

Not really. They lose next week, and still have a chance to win the last 2 and make the playoffs.

To paraphrase, Cutler should be grateful if the Bears resign him, since he can't stay healthy. It's also his fault he keeps getting hurt, and he should know in advance if an INT will be returned for a TD, and therefore not throw the pass.

Cutler also doesn't have the benefit of banned substances to alleviate his pain like Jim Miller did. What an idiot.

Not only that... Bears should be grateful that Cutler is willing to do an extension and not bolt the team with the OL/OC/etc. he had over the years as a Bears. How in the world does a QB know "in advance" that it'll be a pick 6? That makes my head hurt. Cutler shouldn't been throwing anyway on that play. It was 3rd and 1 and they leave Bush on the sideline. Why is Bush not used more? What's the point of signing him then?

Bush was hurt (bruised ribs).

But yeah, Forte should have been in over Allen.

Holy hell, that is [expletive] ridiculous.

Someone needs to give him an exorcism. I think he's possessed by the spirit of Jerry Angelo.

If only injuries were as predictable as steroid suspensions
