would've been awesome if he could've gotten one more garbage TD to even him out but i guess one on a completely blown coverage is enough

25 more yards would've been pretty too

"so Jay, what was up with the thing with tice on the sidelines?"

"go [expletive] yourself, next question."

18/24 275 yards 11.5 y/att 2 TD 0 INT 140.1 rating

against what was one of the best defenses in the league

According to ESPN they were the #1 D, not sure how they were measuring though.

Hunter Hillenmeyer is easily the best of the recent Bears to be on the CSN postgame

Yea, but that's yardage so who cares. :-)

Well, that was sort of awkward between Hunter and Jim Miller.

Hunter defended Cutler, saying that plenty of things like that happen when things get heated... Jim Miller goes "You don't walk away from your boss."

Someone interrupts and then a few seconds later Hunter goes, "Well, I think Jay has a little more job security there than Mike Tice, so I wouldn't really call him his boss." and Miller goes, "He's his boss."

holy [expletive], i was down 36 points coming into play, with just Marshall and Bears D yet to play

somehow gonna win handily, now

Wow, I was down 37.5 with the same two to play, and won by 4.4.

Strange.

just want to say that on the tipped ball play, marshall was interfered with before the ball was tipped. it should have been a penalty. the ball was in the air, he was being held, that's pass interference.

Yep. The "regular" officials clearly missed that one. I thought for sure they would have seen it in the review booth.

If the line plays slightly below average to good, Jay is Pro Bowl caliber. I just don't know if he has the ability to make something out of nothing when he needs to. There are guys who can do it and Jay needs to learn how to do that 1-2 games a year. But overall, great game. Absolutely outplayed and outcoached the Cowboys.

Who cares about defensive yards given up. The Bears have allowed a fair amount of yards since Lovie has been here. You can't win the game based on yards. Ask Romo.

Yeah, 0.3 PPR. Marshall had 7 catches so still would have won by a couple in non-PPR.

Miller is an idiot. He defends the practice of bounty hunting and must have completely forgot about the time hugh douglas put him out of a playoff game on a play after the whistle.

It begins. From ESPN.com

CutlerWatch II: A discussion of Cutler's night would not be complete without noting his refusal to acknowledge offensive coordinator Mike Tice during a second-half trip to the sideline. As we discussed earlier, Cutler walked away from Tice, sat down on the Bears bench, and then got up and walked away again as soon as Tice sat next to him. We don't have the full context and may never get it, but is sure didn't seem a respectful way to treat a coach who has given Cutler significant schematic latitude this season.

That's a fancy way of saying "the FO has already realized their mistake and have given Jay leeway to be awesome and ignore Dorkshorts McGee."

Great game tonight. I was completely not expecting th oline to step up and play well. The pass rush was a little light, but all the bounces went our way. I would like to see a little more use of Jeffrey, but that can wait another game.

The pass rush was there. Romo is just Neo when it comes to getting sacked.

You could argue that the pass rush forced 3 of the turnovers by collapsing the pocket around Romo and forcing him to throw under duress. They certainly caused Briggs' interception/ fumble recovery and that was pretty much the tipping point of the game.

Stats can be misleading. Bears gave up almost 400 yards passing tonight.

so you agree that the bears' defense was one of the best, if not the best in the league last season?

I agreed a long time ago, you're thinking of Goony.
