Yadi Molina just decided to become an elite hitter it seems.

Yeah, about 5 years ago.

This is his 3 year slash line:

.3053/.3489/.4653

The 'third year', his OPS was .671. His OPS+ was never above 100 before last season.

He makes sense though, we should probably grab Dioneer Navarro up for next year. He's also due to start mashing.

His BABIP is really high this year.

All I'm saying is that he's seen pretty steady improvement over the last few years. It's not a Brady Anderson type year.

He still showed no signs of being this type of player, but just became it. I guess he decided to become elite.

I think it's safe to say this is probably his career year.

If Posey wasn't having his year, I'd say he has a good shot at MVP. Not going to happen though.

Thank god that won't happen. I'd hate to see Yadi freaking Molina win an MVP.

Depends on how much the writers hold a grudge against Braun.

Posey is my prediction, even though I think Yadi fits the description of MVP more.

How, in that he's a cardinal? Your lineup is loaded. Posey I clearly the best hitter on his team and a damn good catcher to boot. As for Braun, I can't see that happening again.

Posey is probably the guy, and he is a fantastic player. Braun honestly deserves it, as much as I hate to say it. When the Brewers miss the playoffs it'll let the writers off the hook.

How do you feel Molina is the more deserving MVP than Buster? I have to hear this rationale.

Obviously I have bias. I won't bore you by saying it's his defense or clutch hitting. I haven't watched enough Giants games to really appreciate Posey.

How do you feel Posey is more deserving than Braun? (if that is the case)

There's something really amusing about pinch hitting LaHair with Vitters.

I just don't think they can vote for Braun. His numbers deserve it, but there is too much doubt around him.

I'll go a step further and say that more than enough of them are pissed at him for making them look bad last year.

It's silly, but true.

There's doubt around every player. You either vote for the stats or not.

Goold just tweeted:

"#Cubs send up an All-Star to pinch-hit. #Cardinals counter with rookie pitcher. Cubs counter-counter with a rookie batter. Ah, September."

There is different level of doubt around each player. Not all of them have failed a test within the calendar year. Braun has.

So that makes the question: How long after a positive/dismissed test does a player have to go before he's eligible for MVP votes?

I'm with you in that he's in doubt. I just think that if he's playing under the rules of the game he should be eligible for its awards. Same with Cabrera. I don't think MLB should honor his request to be removed from the batting title. I think he should wear it in shame.

I don't know, my issue with Braun is how he got off on a technicality. At leas Melky has now owned that he cheated. I mean sure he had the whole website mess at first, but he has since admitted to it. Braun skated by on a technicality. Had he manned up and taken his punishment it would be easier to move past it, IMO.

Braun has been great, but he has had more help than Posey has. Ramirez has been good, Hart has been good and Weeks has really stepped it up in the second half.

Posey has been good, but especially in the second half, which has been huge because of the loss of Cabrera.

I can agree with that.

Lmfao Rob Schneider.

Has to be one of the most awkward 7th inning conversations of the Len and Bob era. If anyone missed it, Rob said they should kill Bartman. And called his wife a horny snowman since she's pregnant. It's worth a listen if you want to laugh.

Yeah, that's a fair statement.
