I was picking what seemed like a decent range for how long most people here have been a Cubs fan. Well, mainly I was picking it for me because I've been a fan for nearly 30 years, but whatever.

There's been a pretty clear generational change between the franchises since then.

 

 

Pittsburgh is banking all their hopes on finally being over .500 and they are panicking about the chance they manage to fail at that. It was a decade ago when Cubs followers creamed their pants over finishing above .500 two years in a row. And they've been in the playoffs four times since the Pirates were last relevant.
