Cubs are finally back in town and I get Germano/Rogers and Rusin/Estrada. Yeesh.

On the flip side I get to see Rizzo, Jackson, Vitters in person for the first time.

Also, I got upper deck tickets for tonight's game for $.40 each. 4 tickets including stub hub fees = $12.05. Tomorrow night I got 11 rows behind home plate for $24 per ticket.

Rogers doesn't have huge splits and Sveum seems more willing to start Vitters against bad teams. It wouldn't surprise me if Vitters is in the lineup tonight.

Barney's OPS has dropped from .693 to .687 since August 5.

Which is like 1.5 singles from his season performance. He's a middle infielder, and a defense-first one at that. The whole point is a silly one I admit, but sucked is pretty strong language for someone who's been pretty close to what you'd expect in such a short timeframe.

Ugh, I havent watched too many of the recent Cubs games, I didn't realize that Rizzo's season OPS is down to .803. It seemed to me like he has been hitting ok from the box scores I saw.

He has, he's just been hitting like Ichiro.

Damn, in his last 9 games, he had 0 walks and 0 extra base hits. Took care of both of those in his first 2 PAs tonight though,

I can see what Sveum means when he says Jackson has a "lazy head" (or whatever he said). On that last curve he didn't seem to be tracking the pitch at all. He seemed to be gazing out at the pitcher at the end of the swing.
