Any idea on when Maples will get to throw multiple innings? I believe he came out in the 2nd inning last game.

But, I'd like to see 3-4 innings out of him.

Blackburn is off to a great pro start. Pretty exciting piggy-back.

He's probably adding 10ish pitches per start, so I could see 3 IP a few starts from now. Doubt he gets to 4 in a start this year.

Do you think they will get him innings during the instructs or some other offseason league? It just seems like he could really use the extra experience since he started so late. What do they normaly do with guys in his situation? By the time he really gets a feel for his pitches they'll be shutting him down? Seems kinda counterproductive.

He'll get to pitch in instructs (probably 2-4 inning starts for the whole month or so of instructs) plus side sessions. He's not ready for the level of play in the winter leagues Americans generally play in.

Whitenack was scheduled to start, so Daytona was of course rained out.

Ha is back in the lineup for Smokies playing CF, Szczur in RF.

Daytona hasn't been nearly as bad for rainouts this year as it was last year.

2004 was the worst.

Rock Shoulders with a no-doubter grand slam.

Ouch. Peoria scores 2 in the top of the 14th but gave up 3 in the bottom of the 14th and lost.
