Well this must really be driving up his trade value... One batter retired on what should have been ball 4, then 4 straight singles.

it has no effect on his trade value.

This. I would say Dempster's entire body of work speaks more to his value than one random inning in July. I would imagine most teams interested in him or ones that have offers in have guys at the game tonight or guys watching it and realize he gave up a bunch of bloop singles. Wasn't like he was giving up bombs all over the place and his stuff/velo seems to be on par with where he has been all year/since he's been a starter.

Who let you in here ???

i should probably pull my name from the rotation with the list being as short as it is and the rotation going at the rate it's going

.... or, maybe you should pay attention and start the game thread when it's your turn ??

I don't buy that.

Yes, we are mostly overreacting, but there may be teams sitting on the fence who could be swayed by 1 good or bad outing.

not even ned colletti is THAT stupid.

It is 1 start out of 15. You can't just completely throw it out and say it will have no bearing on his trade value, especially coming off an injury. In the grand scheme of things, the impact will probably be minimal... but I don't agree with anyone who says it has no effect whatsoever.

LaHair has an OPS over 1.600 against the Cardinals and about .765 against everyone else.
