jose rosario throws a lot of long outings for a pitcher in the low minors. i give him a good score on tonight's game despite 6 runs (4 earned) allowed. 0 bb/7 k, and of the 10 hits allowed, only one was for extra bases (that being a double).

"Hand-wringing" would be severely overstating it, but I'm certainly happy to see there was nothing to the worries.

 

I'm still figuring out what I intend to worry about next, but I'll think of something.

The lack of pitching is a good one, and I was leaning toward that, but I'm kind of thinking "We waited too long to trade Garza and aren't going to get much for him" is a nice dark horse.

I think we'll be fine with what we get for Garza and I kind of have it in my head for some reason, he's getting dealt before the ASB. No reason, just think we may find a fringe contender ready to trade, energize the team and fanbase, blah, blah, blah. OTOH, I have it in the back of my head that Demp is sitting out on purpose and won't be healthy until early August

In other, other news, I think it's safe to cut Hayden Simpson now.

Wilken should be fired for the drafting of Simpson. Truly embarrassing.

 

Funny how the selection was mocked at the time due to the reach and many believed it was ego driven. Wilken really looks bad two years later.

 

Vitters has been such a pleasant surprise. It's kind of funny how many (myself included) gave up on his talent so soon. He's been on fire for 2 months.

I'm confident they will, but I really hope he gets a full year of AAA, then maybe 20 games or so in the majors, in September.
