anyone feel the least bit optimistic about Marmol in this spot?

 

 

I'm just curious if Marmol will forego his typical mercy baserunner and just mow them down on 9 pitches.

Leadoff triple and the Cubs can't add the insurance run. Terrible. Hopefully Marmol is on his game tonight.

 

Look, Castro would have gotten the job done if the ball hadn't nailed the freakin' pitcher.

Old people loved Harry and Stone. My dad was mesmerized by his ability to predict sliders low and away.

 

My dislike mostly stemmed from my dad's dislike of him. Granted, my dad was young then, but still, he taught me well.

 

my dad hated stone too. just thought he was a smarmy jerk. i remember one time he saw something in the paper about stone wanting to be a gm and he just lost his mind.

 

I used to love listening to him and Thom Brennamen do the 4th-6th. Of course, I was an obnoxioux, know-it-all college student at the time so the perpetual, mean-spirited sarcasm was a more in line with my tastes. Today I am sure I would get a lot of use out of the mute button.
