So what happened? Did they ask him to leave or something?

Nah; if the half inning after the stretch is dragging they'll often allow/encourage (politely) the guest to leave. Sounds like Len & Bob just took advantage of the commercial break for the pitching change and ushered him out diplomatically.

And then made their disdain for him quite clear after the break.

Damn, I missed that part. What did they say?

they almost always (or maybe always) do that with a pitching change. Recently there was somebody who I thought wasn't bad who they got rid of in a hurry.

They did it with Dennehy yesterday; no pitching change, but the inning was longer than expected so they thanked him and set him on his way before it was done.

Turned on the game just in time to see Barney score on the passed ball. Who was the guy who may or may not have been thrown to his death from the broadcast booth window, and how did he deserve it?

Some fat chef bragging about how he knows nothing about baseball and then being all obnoxious about his muffins and how he fries his steaks.

All the more reason to stop with the celebrity/free-advertising guest conductors for the 7th inning stretch.

I think we have already benefited greatly twice for having Baker at 1B instead of LaHair today.

I don't mind it most of the time. Most seem thrilled to be up there and even if it's a trainwreck it's an entertaining one. This guy was just bad.

If they get out of this with the lead intact I will name my firstborn Len.

I was going to be REALLY bold and say Kaspar but then thought better of it.

Baker just made a diving snare of a line drive for the 2nd out that there's pretty much no way LaHair grabs.

Len asked Bob if he wanted to go grab Duff to explain the passed ball rule to him.

"Uh, no."

Len kinda laughs and called him interesting or something else like that. After 40 seconds or so they mentioned how his cakes are nice, presumably because their PR person told them to.
