I'm really trying to ignore wins and losses and just enjoy the game and watch players develop but it's tough.

Part of me still wants to believe that we can be like last year's Pirates through July (not that good but really lucky) and then add Rizzo and Jackson and just start to roll.

Home Run # 3 for Rizzo.

LaHair is going to be good and Rizzo's just not going to give a freak and pistolwhip him and take the job anyway in June.

Can either one player corner outfield?

If LaHair wants to stick in MLB on the Cubs roster he better figure it out. Rizzo isn't being moved off of 1B for Brian [expletive] LaHair.

just wait till the all star break when he's hitting .280 with 21 HR and a .360 OBP and he's Brian [EXPLETIVE] LaHair

It's possible to be pretty lucky with SP as solid as ours.

That's what I've been pinning my hopes on since we knew that we were rebuilding.

I'm probably going to hate Lucroy forever for that reaction to getting hit on the fleshy part of the arm.

Hopefully Russell pitches well here and finishes the game. I don't want him to get lit up and then get relegated to loogy duties.

Me too, but watching bad veterans isn't much fun. I don't know if Joe Mather will be a decent 4th outfielder, but I'd much rather watch him pinch hit with two guys on base than Reed Johnson, especially against a RH pitcher.

If LaHair can do what he's done offensively since coming to the organization, I'd love to see if he can play a capable outfield considering the options.

I'd have no problem with putting him in RF, with Rizzo at 1B and trying some sort of quasi platoon in CF/LF with Byrd/Dejesus/Soriano. That is until Jackson is ready to come up and play CF (which may or may not been sooner than Rizzo) and then LF can be relegated to Byrd/Dejesus/Soriano.

We're going to have to get a couple runs if Starlin wants a shot to keep his on base streak alive.

I want to check after the game to see what the Cubs' BABIP is after this game. It doesn't seem like we're getting a ton of breaks on balls in play, other than Reed Johnson's triple.

It was .297 coming into today. League average according to B-R (not sure if that's NL or MLB) is .265 so far.

Ian Stewart seems like the most unlucky.
