Thought this would be an interesting thing to track on a semi-regular basis. What you think is a "good" job is up to you. As long as you apply your own definition consistently, that's what matters. If you don't think there's enough information to tell yet, just abstain from voting.

Darwin Barney is getting the No. 2 slot in the batting order. We gave out a roster spot based on spring training stats. Jeff Baker is getting the start against a tough righty.

He's getting an early "no," but I'm perfectly willing to change it to a yes as soon as something good happens.

I vote for "meh." Truly good managers are as rare as truly destructive ones like Dusty; most just fall into a big stew of mediocre. The failure is in the crappy team.

I split off the discussion of current events into Baseball Discussion so it would get more eyeballs. The idea of the poll was meant to be more reflective anyway.

It says the poll runs until April 10th. I don't think there's going to be any appreciable additional info in 2 more early season days than there is right now to cast a definitive vote on his skills.

Therefore, I voted yes. Because he's a cheap placeholder until our official run starts, which is what we should be doing since it's obvious we don't have an intention to win this year.

Those who voted "Yes" please state why? He has managed 4 innings so far.

Why the hell would you vote note after 4 innings?

Because I don't like what I see. Why did you vote yes?

"Because he likes what he sees."

Why did you believe your 4 innings were enough of a sample for criticism but not enough for a positive vote?

For the record, I didn't vote since I didn't believe I had enough sample to make a good decision.

Given the fact that the poll was created before there was a sample size I think that is besides the point.

The point seems to be to gather a snapshot of how people feel on the matter at any given point.

If you read the first post this is a on-going poll. I may change my vote to yes. Keep checking and watch the drama unfold.

You realize that CC is the one that asked for justification by those with different opinions. Raisin just put CC's question back to him.

I just see what raisin wrote, that there isn't enough sample.
