ugh, i hate the big group requirement thing, all it does is ensure we have a bunch of stupid looking empty seats in the corner all the time.

As bad as this team's going to be, I don't think that will look all that out of place by the end of the year.

Once Ian Stewart gets going, the RF bleachers will be THE destination in Wrigley.

Has there been any word on what the ground rules will be? I know someone mentioned it upthread, but have they said whether there's going to be a line or a basket?

And here's a good view from the booth.

Looks great.

Extremely well implemented.

It looks to me from one of the photos that the basket is already there.

I guess you're right, it looks like more of a lip to act as a divider rather than something designed to catch fly balls. Should be interesting to see if any problems come of it.

I would bet some umps will miss calls, but thankfully with replay it shouldn't be hard to get it right.

About time they did this.

I always thought the excuse for a small front office that they "didn't have much office space in Wrigley Field" was beyond insane.

The Cubs also moved all of their offices from Wrigley to a building on the corner of Clark Street and Waveland Avenue, rehabbing an old storage warehouse into a contemporary-looking office building that features many new amenities. Among the additions are a Golden Tee machine, added conference rooms and an actual break room for employees.

Cubs president of business operations Crane Kenney said "the organization has never been in one place before. The Ricketts are allowing us to expand." The old office space is empty, and will likely be part of any new rehab plan the Cubs have under consideration.

Also:

The biggest change for the players is a soft toss area under the left field bleachers that now serves as an extra batting cage before games. There won't be any access during games, however, at least for now. The area used to house equipment.

Very well done.

I agree that symmetry would be served by a twin board in left, but it would be a shame to wreck those seats. The genius of the RF board is that it took the place of seats facing the worst obstruction in the house.

The Target ads are garbage.

The RF basket has to go.

Yeah, from ground level it's no good. Although that really only affects those people sitting in the Ricketts family seats and behind 3rd base dugout. Most others shouldn't really notice it over there.

The basket in general needs to be completely redone.
