We can only hope that this actually has something to do with Soriano's hot start and that it's not just a happy coincidence in this, obviously, extremely small sample size...

Alfonso Soriano has hit three homers and led off Friday's game with his second double this spring. The left fielder has shortened his leg kick.

"It might have been time where he came up with it," Sveum said. "As you get older, the bat slows down, and you've got to have a lot less moving parts to your swing, especially that big ol' log he swings. Less moving parts, the easier."

Watching. Nice movement on the breaking stuff and the change looked really good and got swings and misses. He didn't appear to be throwing particularly hard, but there wasn't a velo displayed. He was throwing primarily offspeed and breaking pitches.

Zero, did you see Lendy Castillo also? Any thoughts or observations on his stuff?

It looked like he was throwing fairly hard, but was all over the place. I wasn't paying as much attention to him, though. Rhee looked the best of all the pitchers today, imo.

WGN graphic looks improved from last year. The split second where I couldn't remember what color meant a guy was on base or not is now gone.

Is it just me, or is it creeping toward the center of the screen? I know they have to accommodate people without HD sets, but it looks somewhat out of place on a wide screen TV.

It's not just you.

What's with the crappy picture? Feels like I'm watching on The U.

Yesterday's was much clearer.

Nice to see Stewart get a hit off a lefty.

I am hearing a rather annoying high-pitched whine. It is much more audible on my 5.1 home theater system, but I can also hear it through my TV's speakers.

I've got it too, it makes me want to kill myself and/or others

Barney now 6 for 13 with 2 doubles and a triple. Last year he had 3 doubles and a triple in 55 ST PA's.

Stewart with a very nice AB before lining a single into right on 3-2.

What? Was yesterday's even in HD? Today's looks like HD from a consumer camcorder. The audio today has been bad.

Yesterday's was just as bad, imo.
