If LeBron haters are intellectually honest, they can just ctrl-r "LeBron" for "Durant." He no-showed more than once in crunch this series.

yea we already talked about that, but don't let it get in the way of your baseless rage.

He was also the reason they won Game 1 and even had a shot at the end in Game 2. Durant didn't quit on his team like LeBron did in Cleveland against Boston and didn't no show the entire series like LeBron did last year. I know points are hardly the be all end all, but Durant's worst scoring output this series (25) is still better than LeBron's best in the finals last year (24).

Defense is half the game.

Edit-don't want to seem anti-KD. Just anti-hater. Wish we could enjoy the game without obsessing over the big picture via small sample sizes. That kind of thinking keeps Skip Bayless in tanning beds and creatine money.

Welcome to post Lebron championship NBA.

The crust of the Earth may crack open.

Hopefully Skip Bayless off's himself tonight because he doesn't want to live in a world where LeBron has a title. Or at least never goes on TV again.

Don't pay much attention to whoring loudmouths like Bayless anymore. But I imagine the world will still turn.

Don't forget Dan "we'll win a title before LeBron does," Gilbert.

What a fantastic way to end the season. Wasn't it like a month ago the Heat were down 2-1 to the [expletive] Pacers?

I remember in the offseason thinking a canceled season wouldn't be the worst thing ever. At least the Heat wouldn't win for another year. Man am I glad the season went through now. Injuries galore. Rose out for a good amount of next year. Heat with a title.

yeah, People/teams I don't like seem to win championships every year these days (and I don't even have strong negative feelings about that many teams/players) so this is just an "oh well" for me.

He was going to get it eventually. I didn't want it to happen in this scenario, but in reality it was inevitable.

But he's never been considered all that great of a defender. It's obviously a negative part of his game, but we're not talking about an all-NBA defender who was terrible on the defensive end in the series.

LeBron played significantly worse against Boston in 2010 and Dallas last year than he normally does. Durant seems like he's playing only slightly worse. He averaged 28-8-3.5 (20.8 Game Score according to basketball-reference) during the year and is at 31-6.6-2.6 (20.4 GS) for the first four games with a 32-11-3 today. LeBron was 26.7-7.5-7 (21.7 GS) last year and went 17.8-7.2-6.8 (13.7 GS) in the finals.

But Bill Simmons said this title would carry an asterisk noting Derrick Rose was injured. So there's that.

Oh, and Eddy Curry gets a ring.

He is really yucky isn't he.

I'd be happy if he simply cuts all ties to Chicago.

I have in the past two weeks or so and it honestly feels great. I mean I knew it had become a horrible horrible station, but I just like sports too much and it is one of the only options. I saw something on Deadspin I think about the time they commit to stories and I think the Heat/Lebron had more minutes that every other thing they talk about combined.

I remember when you could watch a morning sportscenter and get highlights from EVERY game--all in a half hour. Even the ones you didn't care about--but I knew someone did. Now you don't get highlights of pretty much anything.

What parts? I think Bayless is on after I'm long gone to work.

I really don't see him much.

I really just watch the live game broadcasts and maybe a little Sportscenter these days. Don't see him much, and don't miss him.

Steven A Smith makes me reach for the clicker just about every time.
