I've got some buddies on Clemson's coaching staff and both of them said they would take Ingram over Coples 100 times out of 100, for what it's worth.

What's the quote....Rumors of our demise were greatly exaggerated? The Jets' troubles are more headline fodder than they are real....IMO and no homer. They've made some very smart moves this offseason, but I realize that most won't acknowledge it as such until the team hits the field in September.

Whether it affects them on the field or not, there has been a huge amount of drama in the offseason and adding Tebow, while it could be smart if he's used right, will simply add to that. Also, Mark Sanchez simply isn't very good and anytime your QB is bad, it's hard to hold the team together.

What questions might you have about Ingram physically?

Short arms for one. He's also kind of in that tweener range, being 6'2. Coples can play in a 3-4 or 4-3, Ingram is relegated to 3-4 only with the possibility of being a 4-3 OLB.

you really like your team, huh?

I like what the offensive players are capable of doing. There's a lot of risk there, though, with Britt and Cook.

well, i really like my team so we're even

Glad to hear it.

Forget laziness and everything, I think Ingram is just superior to Coples.

Great college player doesn't necessarily mean great pro, and I have questions about him just like there's questions about Coples. Unlike Coples, those questions are physical. I think NFL OTs will give Ingram some trouble.

They're not huge....He's short with short arms....Makes up for it by being a mover, but how many pass rushers are 6'1 with short arms. Harrison and then who?

Not a major knock but over a guy who entered the season as a consensu top 5 talent? I'll get over it.

I'm mildly optimistic on Sanchez, and not worried at all about the D being 2009 good again.

The D should be fine, the problem is going to be getting a productive offense going. If not, things could devolve quickly.

They also coach for Clemson.

OK? They recruited both players and they played against them every season. And they HATE South Carolina with a passion. Your point is what?

liked the Reiff pick, there wasn't a similarly talented DE or CB there

my ideal semi-realistic hope for the rest of the draft:

(trade down to 3rd rd, pick up extra pick in 4th)

3 - Trumaine Johnson/Dwight Bentley, CB

3 - Cam Johnson, DE

4 - Sean Spence, LB

4 - Keshawn Martin, WR

5 - David Molk, C

7 - Bryce Brown, RB

do that, and we have no holes on our roster, except SS i guess

Drafting a rookie QB that is pushing 29 in the first round is pretty damn stupid too.

almost as bad as trading up for a guy you didn't need to trade up for

He's athletic, strong and has an array of pass rush moves to make up for his shorter arms.

Coples was overrated preseason and his draft rating was adjusted during the course of the season to where it should have been all along.

I can concede that about Coples but:

1) Tore up the Senior Bowl which has a good tracker ore of finding pros.

2) Still a better pass rusher than Ingram.

Ingram in a better draft is a 2nd round pick anyway...

Who do the Rams open with? We had them going with Mike Adams in the mock - is that still the direction, or do they go with the value of a Courtney Upshaw or Stephen Hill?

They have 3 picks before the Bears, hell who knows... they could get all 3.

Rumors say they will go with Brian Quick.
