The worst part about this game is that Rose will more than likely try to rush himself back and play on Monday.

Rush back? He could have played today based on his quotes before the game.

Thibs went from being the most aggressive coach in terms of players playing through injuries to one of the most conservative in the blink of an eye. What happened?

Does anyone remember why Paxson and Del Negro had a physical confrontation? Because VDN played Noah more minutes than the limit that Pax had set for him coming back from an injury. He obviously takes the extremely cautious route when it comes to injuries.

I really believe that GarPax had a chat with him and told him that to treat the franchise carefully. So now Thibs is being overcautious with Rose. Maybe they even had a fist fight.

I think we CAN beat Miami. But only if Miami is off. Sorry, I agree they're a better team than the Bulls. They can play bad and the Bulls can beat them, but if both teams are at their best, I feel Miami wins. It's why I'm not content with standing pat. I hope I'm wrong.

You can say that for any team. Standing pat makes a great regular season team that does squat in the playoffs. Hey, I hope I'm wrong but would the Bulls of old win anything without Pippen?

Um, did you read my post? I agreed with you. I do NOT want us to stand pat.

Sorry, it wasn't meant for you. It was meant for outshineone who spouts off [expletive] in everything I [expletive] post. This team will win jack [expletive] without another superstar. [expletive] PERIOD!

What's the point of saying the same thing over and over again without even attempting to refute counter arguments?

What's the counter argument? How is this team better then last years team? The heat are going to shut down are only superstar and that is that. You can't have one guy do it all. Even Jordan realized that.

The list of teams given in the past 10 years that have won a title or been to the title with one super star. Plus I don't really see how your claim that the Bulls have or will do squat in the playoffs. They already have and they would likely beat all but one team in the playoffs. I don't really see how that makes them some playoff failure.

They barely beat the shitty pacers last years. Are you talking about the Mavs of last year? Dirk is a monster and couldn't be defended because of his height. The Heat mauled rose. Do you honestly think this team will beat the Heat (if healthy)... And if you do why?

If the Bulls barely beat the Pacers than the Heat barely beat the Bulls. The Bulls blew a large late lead and lost in OT to the Heat. A couple of possessions go differently and it's a 3-2 Bulls series lead. Every game the teams have played in their current forms have been close. If I had to pick now I'd say the Heat are favorites but it's not some automatic win for them. I could easily it being some 7 game toss up of a series.

Well then you are agreeing with me. The Heat are the favorites. If by luck we pull it out I'll be happy, but our current roster doesn't match up with them. And don't forget this was a team in their first year together.

FFS, every team that wins a championship needs some luck to win.

So we are counting on luck. Yeah, the Bulls of old won just on luck.

The east playoffs are setting up to be pretty tough, even in the first rounds. The Bulls and Heat would currently play the Knicks or the Celtics and the 3-6 seeds all are good teams. I wouldn't be surprised if the Heat and Bulls don't even see each other. Just hope the Heat would be the team getting upset.

Agreed. But you are hoping on that. I'm hoping on the bulls to get another player to take the heat off of rose. That is all.

I really don't want to enter this discussion... but I must know what exactly a "superstar" is. In the last 10 years only The Celtics won with multiple superstars, then you have to go back to Shaq and Kobe as the last besides that. Unless Pau Gasol was/is a superstar?

I think, as a rule, the Bulls are probably the most consistent team in the league. Sure, there's a day like today, but for the most part, we are pretty damn consistent. Which is why I can't really see us getting "hot" for a whole series. Thibs gets more out of us, on a daily basis, than what other coaches do. We play harder, we're not more talented. There's teams out there that I think can find another gear, at least on occasion. Unfortunately, I don't see the Bulls as one of them. Yes, it's POSSIBLE for this team to win a title. But, I don't want to get lucky, which is what it's going to take, unless we make a solid move, of which I don't even see on the radar. Which sucks. Because I don't want this wave to miss Rose. His style of play isn't very conducive to playing like this forever obviously. Part of me is already thinking ahead to when(and if) Mirotic comes over and develops into a legit 2nd option.

Rose is the type of guy that says he could play if he couldn't walk, so I'm not going to pay too much attention to his quotes before the game. I'd like to see Rose rest the final two games before the break and rest during the break. Get an additional week and a half of rest before he comes back. Back injuries aren't something that you should [expletive] around with.

I think you're reading too much into a possible confrontation. Between a bad toe and a bad back, you have to be cautious with Rose if you want any chance of winning playoff games in May and, hopefully, June. He's not a dumb guy.

It's pretty simple, if you are one of the best teams in the league you have a decent chance to win it all--especially if there isn't one overwhelming team.

On the other hand let the bitter divorcee stew it's hilarious

Perusing RealGM, I see that a guy on the Bulls site says we're looking at Jodie Meeks, Chase Buddinger, Courtney Lee(again), Leandro Barbosa, Michael Beasley, and Anthony Morrow. I don't go to that site all that often, so can someone clue me in as to whether Ralph is an insider or not? The majority of people there listen to what he says, at any rate. Beasley and Morrow are interesting, depending on what we'd be giving up.

I kind of like Beasley only because of the 2008 draft angle. I'm not sure what he'd do for our team though.
