Is Brewer injured or something? Surprised to see Butler still in.

2 steals in a row by the Bulls that turned into easy baskets for the Knicks, that's annoying.

thats a stupid foul

Agreed. Take a pretty much guaranteed two with no time on the clock in exchange for a possible three that would have likely taken two more seconds off the clock at least.

How fitting that Boozer would bring back the MVP in Amare, who has been pretty much terrible all year. I could only laugh at his matador defense at times God, please let Mirotic be good so we can move on.

Hes not really much of a low post scorer anymore. He does have that nice fadaway, and to his credit, hes still pretty efficient with It. God help him and us if that goes away

like spongeworthy was saying, the dude literally makes NO attempt to back guys down anymore. it's brutal. i always want to see him get the ball and actually make a move, but then he tries it and it's like "oh yea, don't do that. nevermind." it's like he's completely lost all his basketball skills. it looks like more than just aging.

He only seems to do it if there is no other choice. There was a time tonight when he was one on one with Staudemire I think and he looked to pass and after there were no options he then attempted to make a move. We got him to make moves in the post and he won't/can't do it.

Yeah at first I tried to argue that he should force himself to backdown more but then I realized that he probably would be if he still could. He doesn't go up strong anymore and is repeatedly stuffed at the rim. I start to wonder if Thibs started to encourage Boozer to take those jumpers more because he figured it was the only way to get any production out of him. But then you see him play a really really good defensive team like Miami who can cover a lot of ground quickly and that shot doesn't seem to be there as often and he often has to rush it up there and doesn't hit it as well. At that point he's entirely worthless.

Ugh. The quest for a low post threat continues. I know butterfly effect and Derrick rose etc but LaMarcus Aldridge is a pretty damn good player. Too bad we passed on him for an athletic project despite the desperate need for a low post guy back then as well.

My confidence in this team just isn't very high right now. I really hope they can figure out how to defend without Deng.

Deng is likely to be back soon. Possibly Sunday.

Or tonight, just read that in the Tribune also read Hamilton' to be held out until he's fully recovered. From what I understand groin injuries have a very long recovery period, does that mean he's possibly done for the season? If so, besides the Horward pipe dream, shouldn't GarPax pursue another legitimate scoring option?

Deng is starting tonight, but the story today is that surgery is still an option if he finds out the pain is too bad to play effectively. If he gets surgery, he would be expected to miss 3-4 months which would be close to a season ender.
