Uh, got the Mike Williams (TB) vs. Percy Harvin decision again. This would be a no-brainer, but Ponder looks like he's going to be a game-time decision. If Ponder doesn't go, do I start Mike Williams over Harvin?

 

Also does anyone put any stock in playing a player because of who your opponent has? My opponent is starting Josh Freeman (also has Ponder). Should I start Williams anyway because he's starting Freeman? If Freeman goes off, having Williams would kinda offset it, assuming he spreads it around.

I think it depends on how you feel about how the rest of your lineup matches up. If your league is non-PPR and Williams posts a 6/95/1 line, odds are that Williams vs Freeman only nets you a loss of somewhere between 1 and 5 points. If Williams has a game like he did in weeks 2 thru 9, the chance that Freeman puts up much more than about 10-13 points is pretty slim, but even 12 points for Freeman could be an 8-pt net loss for you. If you think you match up well and want to mitigate the odds of him catching lightning in a bottle and surprising you, go for it. If you're the one looking to make up points wherever you can, it may not be best.

DeMarco Murray was the key to a strong second half on both my teams. Playoffs aren't looking so hot now. One team is stuck riding Ben Tate from here on.

I benched Jones for Morris this morning, you are the worst. I would've lost anyway though, I just needed to vent after outscoring my league by 10 points per week and now I'm playing for my entry fee.

WOW, I went into the Sunday Night game being ahead by 5 points and all my players done. My opponent had Demarco Murray going, and he got 3.5 points quick....and then he broke his ankle giving me the W....I feel like a dick for being happy when Murray went down, but hell yea I just won my playoff game!

 

Oh and thank you Green Bay for finally pulling Rodgers out of the game and thus limiting his day today for my opponent. Id be pretty pissed if I was the guy I played today.

I know how that feels. I'm known as the Buffalo Bills in my league. Dominate during TE regular season and then my team always inexplicably sucks big time in my first playoff game. Happened this year as well. 11-2 (next best team was 8-5) and les the league in points by over 100 points. Then this week my entire team decides to drop passes, throw INTs, give up points on defense etc.

Into the semis in my league. Get a matchup with the team that started the season 9-0 before losing the last 4 games and finishing 3rd from last in points scored.

I was talking to a friend about how I wanted to start Julio Jones over DeMarco Murray on a hunch, but I have a rule against making any Sunday morning swaps unless a player is ruled completely out. I watched my 7 bench positions rack up 97 points. My bench beat half my league this weekend. Luckily my starting lineup did too, I just left plenty of points out there.

Jennings getting hurt really stings going into the semis. We start 3 and I had him, Nelson and Branch started. Branch laid a goose egg on me. I have Lance Moore on the bench.

 

So with Jennings out, obviously Nelson starts. I can pick up Driver or Manningham. Which two should start of Branch, Moore, Driver or Manningham?

[expletive] yahoo and their [expletive] stat changes overnight! I went to bed last night after every game was done and I was winning by 4 points...I wake up today and now it has me losing by .26 [expletive] points! WTF

I'm almost positive that ESPN still has to correct itself for awarding Cruz with a 9-yd catch made by Nicks during the first of the two late TD drives last night.

Last minute benching of SF's D for the Bears D worked out well, CHI outscored them by 5 points and I won by 4.8. Thanks Brandon Lloyd for doing something last night.
