the 2008 team showed a lot of class and sportsmanship, but it...somehow went largely unnoticed

basically, that's a really dumb criticism

Hah, what?

They're idiots. You know it. We all know it. And they lose games because of it. Not that they would have won tonight, but when your best players can't stay on the field because they're morons, it's perfectly valid to point that out.

Who cares what they did in 2008?

this has got to be the worst MNF matchup in recent history. how does jacksonville get two MNF games in one year?

Vikings/Packers, Pats/Chiefs, Chargers/Chiefs, Ravens/Jags, dolphins/Jets, Colts/Bucs, Rams/Giants have all been MNF games this year.

ESPN needs to rethink their strategy for picking games.

A lot of 2010 playoff teams or contenders on that list.

Looking at ESPN's pre-season power rankings, I'm seeing numbers 29,27,25,24,23,22. And that's not counting the Rams.

They had to come up with the schedule 5 months before the preseason even started.

And? Everyone knew those teams were probably going to suck. I didn't include the Colts because that was something they couldn't have known.

The only team everyone knew was going to suck 2 months after the Superbowl last year on that list were the Jags.

To be fair also, it seems very likely that ESPN doesn't get the pick of the litter when it comes to choosing games. The NFL seems to fill the second half of the doubleheaders and the Sunday night games first, and then comes Monday Night and the other CBS/Fox games. It becomes a lot harder to pick good games when you don't have the access to most of the games between the traditional powers that are almost guaranteed to be good matchups.

Looking at the noon games and considering how teams looked during the offseason, the only game I see that is unquestionably better than SD @ Jax is Atlanta @ Houston.
