Watching the game on first row and there is a disturbing ad on the side of the page that is flashing a bunch of pictures of 13-16 year old girls in skimpy clothing posing provocatively.

Martz with his obligatory play call. In FG range, take the easy points. Nobody was within 10 yards of the outside WRs. Throw it out there get a first or kick it.

Just catch it, [expletive].

I'm not confident a Caleb Hanie-led offense can score 5 or more points in the second half.

Mid game good news:

ESPN's Adam Schefter and the Chicago Sun Times both report that the Bears will let offensive coordinator Mike Martz go when his contract expires after this season.

Martz has been connected to head-coaching vacancies at Arizona State and UCLA, suggesting he may already be plotting his future. His pass-heavy system hasn't worked out in Chicago with a line that struggles to pass protect and inconsistent play from the outside receivers. The departure of Martz wouldn't necessarily result in a systematic change for the Bears' offense, however. OL coach Mike Tice is the leading candidate to take over, and would likely keep most of the terminology and plays in place.
