Looks like BCS #5 lost and #6 is in trouble and BCS 1 or 2 will go down next week. It's too bad no one in the Big Ten is going to go undefeated.

Hell Michigan could have been that team if a couple things go different in the MSU game.

So if Stanford loses, only 3 unbeaten teams will be left, LSU/ALA, OK St and Boise St. OK State still has KState, TTU and Oklahoma left.

I'm gonna get my hopes up that Boise State can get in the title game but I'm sure some one loss team like Alabama/LSU, Oregon or Oklahoma will jump them eventually.

and just like that, PSU has a 2 game lead in their division with 3 to play. FTH?

No offense to Penn State, but this year's Penn State team vs. anyone probably wasn't their ideal 1st Big Ten Championship game.

msu won by 2 TDs and outgained um by almost 100 yards, but had more turnovers and were penalized almost 100 yards more. it's hard to see what would have happened in that game to reverse the outcome.

this year's PSU team stinks on ice (well, at least the pass offense does). They could easily have lost 4 or 5 more games with a few breaks the other way

Hey look another [expletive] called on TJ McDonald. Utter horse [expletive].

just looking at the box score now, but wasn't that the first penalty assessed against usc (versus 9 against stanford)?

That has nothing to do with anything.

Edit: My "another" descriptor has to do with McDonald being tagged with several horrible, game altering personal foul calls throughout the year.

You know coaches are way too enamored with the saving timeouts on last minute drives. They think just because they pick up a first down it's not worth it to immediately call a timeout and they invariably waste 5 more seconds.

Now USC goes to overtime with two timeouts left in their pocket. Thank you Vinny Del Kiffin!

Right now, I'm getting the sense that this might actually be Boise's chance. I don't have confidence in Oklahoma State, Stanford, or Clemson to win out (right now, my gut tells me one of Stanford or Clemson loses tonight, although I'm open to that prediction being hilariously wrong). If none of them do, that leaves Boise fighting it out with the LSU/Alabama loser, Oregon, and Oklahoma. Could they hold off those teams? Maybe. Their non-conference SOS isn't bad at all this year. Playing UNLV and New Mexico will really hurt in the computers, but I think their computer ranking will still be strong enough that if they even have a small edge in the polls they could sneak in.

You got Clemson and might get Stanford right. Pretty prophetic.

Did you actually watch the game? Obviously MSU outplayed them. I was referring to the fact that Michigan was 9 yards away from tying the game with 6 minutes left. And even after that, they had the ball back down 7 with just under 5 minutes left and 65 yards away when Denard threw a pick 6 to give MSU the 14 point margin. As I said, if a couple things go different (Hoke opting to run on 4th and 1 instead of pass) Michigan could have won despite being outplayed.

Does anybody else get really annoyed by the same USC song playing over and over again? I feel like its more ridiculous there than anywhere else...
