I will be real interested to read the postmortem on this deal.

 

It would seem to me that Boston has no reason to drag this thing out given their own internal problems. I have to wonder if this really isn't just a PR stunt by Henry to keep the meatheads from turning on him and the management group. Ken Tremendous laid it out pretty good a week or so ago.

 

I'd be interested in reading what he had to say. Link?

Seems to me their sources would be within the Cubs organization. Seems like the Cubs thought things were getting very close last night and somehow that's not the case on the Red Sox end.
