I'm pretty sure that the period was extended by an extra two minutes or so. The clock went back to 5 minutes on Kruger's goal when it was under 3 after the media timeout.

5-2. 4 goals allowed in the period. Just chalk it up as a bad night. They are much better than this.

The appalling this is that the Canucks are 4-5 on the PP, compared to 0-4 for the Hawks.

I think the Canucks have more PP goals tonight than we've had all season.

Canucks have 5 power play goals tonight (5-6, 83.3% )

Blackhawks have 5 power play goals all year. (5-53 9.4%)

It's insane that there are 2 teams that have converted a lower percentage of PPs this season, St. Louis (3-40, 7.5%) and Columbus (6-65, 9.2%)

Maybe this is stupid but I thought their record was better than they played so far this year and this loss could be a positive in the long run. Too many of their wins have been in overtime and/or shootouts. They did have a pretty decent goal differential (key word "did"), but I thought they were playing more like a 4/5 seed than a potential #1 seed. And maybe this beatdown was a pretty good thing to keep their heads on straight. They beat the crap out of the Canucks last November in Vancouver, but didn't play like that much the rest of the season. Hopefully they can rally off this embarrassment and gain from it in the end.

It's always interesting to see how a team reacts when their coach is fired. Hawks-Blues is always a tough game, but I think tomorrow is going to be a battle. The guys better be ready or I have a feeling they'll get stomped again.

if you take away the moments of pure dominance by kaners line and the apparent finger in the dam that is duncan keith, this team has been pretty underwhelming thus far. i think they get better, perhaps much better, but it's going to be a work in progress. and a trade for defenseman that doesn't lose his diaper in his own zone

Q is playing lineup shuffle again.

Frolik is getting bumped up to the top line with Toews and Sharp. Carcillo is with Kane and Hossa on the 2nd line, with Brunette taking Froliks place on the 3rd line with Bolland and..Olesz. Stalberg, Kruger and Mayers fill out the final line. I thought Bickell was playing well so this kind of surprises me but I like the Frolik-Brunette switch. Frolik has had a really good all around game this season and will benefit from being on a line with the Captain and Sharpie. Whoever pointed out that Brunette was too slow for the top 2 lines was right. Ever since I read that on here, I can't help but notice it. I think the 3rd line will be a good change of pace line.

If there is ever a game to start Scott, it's against St. Louis.

And I think it's better to pair Montador with Scott than O'Donnell or Lepisto, who don't skate as well.
