Well, why not

Brenly going on and on about the Astros not bothering to mix up their signs with men on second. I don't think either team cares at this point.

Considering that most of the Astros players are propects hoping to be in the big leagues next year, I'd say they care very much.

Wandy isn't about to be cut. No one else on their team cares if he gets smacked around today.

LOL I hate Carlos Lee.

All I can picturing is his grinning ass as he watches his 5-6 annual homeruns in meaningless games vs. the Cubs.

I didnt realise he was having a decent season. I thought he was done for. I wonder if even he's heard of most of his team mates.

Campana should try to steal home. Why the hell not?

I wouldn't object

I'd try it. If you suck and are playing a meaningless game, why not have some fun?

Did Ricketts let Quade know he won't be back next year so he's sabotaging the team for next year by leaving our pitchers in for 125+ pitches?

Not only was it not 125, but what was wrong with letting Garza finish the game? Not only is he the team's best pitcher, but he's young, durable, and had one more out to get.

I'm more pissed that he blew it.

fouled off two balls in the zone and took a ball that was called strike 3. Not sure what you wanted him to do other than hit the foul ones fair

Sorry 124. I don't have that much of a problem with bringing him out for the 9th since he was being so efficient but since he is young I'd prefer his pitch counts be kept to a minimum especially in a pointless game.

And if you're pissed he blew it and the Cubs didn't win; bringing in a reliever gives us a better chance to win.

that's kingkong's new thing, defending the manager who's running up stupid pitch counts in pointless games.

He's been towing the Cub's party line all summer.
