That's a pretty solid team. Just gotta watch out for injuries to your QBs and to Gore and you look solid. Could use an upgrade at TE, but I almost never end up with a good TE...I too ended up with Winslow.

I just drafted my team last night, and I think I did really good. The other people in the league say I'm the favorite but I don't want to get ahead of myself...too much could happen.

Teams: 12

2 QB/ 3 RB/ 4 WR / TE / K / DEF

Stats tend to have a moderate bias towards QBs and pass catching RBs

QB: Drew Brees (keeper)

QB: Michael Vick (keeper)

RB: Rashad Mendenhall

RB: De'Angelo Williams

RB: Ryan Mathews

WR: Miles Austin

WR: Brandon Marshall

WR: Austin Collie

WR: Sydney Rice

TE: Kellen Winslow

K: No one for now

DEF: Chicago Bears

BN: Chad Henne

BN: Vince Young

BN: Willis McGahee

BN: Arrelious Benn

BN: Danny Amendola (gonna drop when I can)

I think my bench could use a bit of help. Football outsiders says it loves McGahee as a 4th RB and same with Benn at WR, but I feel like injury risks (Benn coming back from ACL surgery), and McGahee needs no explanatiion

Nevermind, just saw you start 2 QBs. You guys start a lot of players. I'm a little sketchy on both your WR units, but I think it's because there are about 6 WRs I actually like this year. Having Brees and Vick is pretty crazy. Edited by SouthSideRyan

Curious to see what 6 WRs you like this year? I was 1 pick away from having Larry Fitzgerald instead of Austin, but the bastard in front of me grabbed him. What happened in my league is that QBs are so highly valued that 10 of the 12 teams kept a QB, and I kept 2. And in a 12 team league that starts 2 QBs, there are not enough starting QBs for everyone. So QBs flew off the board in the first couple of rounds leaving me to get Mendenhall in the 2nd, almost Fitzgerald but instead Austin in the 3rd, Marshall in the 4th and De'Angelo in the 5th. In my league, Eli Manning was literally a 3rd round pick.

Anyway, that's a solid top to bottom team. You have a couple of players I really like this year that I myself didn't get, including Stafford, Blount and Ingram. Love the RB depth. Solid TE duo as well. You could probably use a better 3rd and 4th WR, but I'm guessing you like Floyd. I personally don't prefer him.

12 team

QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DEF

QB: Tony Romo, Kyle Orton

RB: Jamaal Charles, LeGarrette Blount, Jahvid Best, Chris Wells, Mike Tolbert

WR: Hakeem Nicks, Mario Manningham, Steve Johnson, James Jones, Danny Amendola

TE: Jason Witten, Jared Cook

PK: Alex Henery

TD: Detroit Lions

I don't give a [expletive] about Ks and Def. Last year I did a weekly drop/add and my points total from those two positions was top 5 in the league.

QB - Brees

RB - Rice

RB - Hillis

WR - Boldin

TE - Moeaki

K - Bryant

BN - Cutler

BN - Ingram

BN - R. Williams

Not really happy with how the RBs got away from me, but I really like the WR depth.

Agreed on Colston. I also dislike Sidney Rice and anyone in that offense. But I like the rest of his team.

WR - Mario Manningham

WR - Mike Thomas

RB - Arian Foster

RB - Mark Ingram

W/R - Jacoby Ford

TE - Lance Kendricks (there was a crazy rush for TEs)

K - Dan Carpenter

I should've been clearer, that's Ricky Williams as a handcuff for Rice.

I don't like Sydney Rice even though he's my 4th WR, but if the Seahawks ever give up on the Tavaris Jackson experiment and go back to someone like Whitehurst, he might have some value. He's still a very talented WR.

I'm dumb, that should have been obvious. I keep forgetting Ricky Williams is still in the league.

I like Ray Rice a lot this year, I'm less bullish on Hillis, even though he saved my ass last year. Like, I said, I'm not big on Colston. The Saints spread it around and he always seems nicked up to me. I don't know.

I actually like Moeaki, but I wonder what other TEs were there when you took him? I kind of get the feeling that your team should have one more big name in the starting lineup, but judging 12-team leagues is tough.

Yeah, Colston wasn't my first choice, but that round was the longer wait, and I liked him doubling up with Brees better than someone like Maclin. Hillis I like since he's going to get a ton of carries, and there really aren't too many guys you can say that about any more. I took Moeaki in the 10th as the 13th TE taken, so there wasn't a whole lot left(Gonzalez, Keller, Hernandez, those guys), which was fine with me. There's so little variance or predictability with TE yardage that getting one with some success and upside to break out was good enough for me.

Yeah but he's got the Madden curse going against him.
