Is Paul Hoilman someone we should expect things from? Hes only 40 games into his pro career, and already seems to have lot more patience than the rest of our interchangeable, power hitting 1B prospects.

Problem is, he has a nasty strikeout rate while in the NWL.

jeez, 18 runs in the last 4 innings for the azl cubs. the donger has his batting average over .300 now, although his plate discipline still sucks (2 bb, 22 k). kyung-min na has been hitting pretty well in his short spell in arizona... easy to forget he's just 19 after his four-team odyssey this year.

i like marco hernandez quite a bit... amaya's batting average really seems fueled by good luck on balls in play, since he's struck out almost once per game.

Rusin had himself a fairly solid outing, but the I-Cubs were shutout: 5.2 ip, 3 h, 2 bb, 5 K's, 1 R, 8:3 GO/FO. After a bad first start, he's been fairly solid in AAA.

BJax with a homer to start game 2.

Any chance Rusin could be successful in the majors? I doubt he'd be much worse than some of the crap the Cubs have run out there this year.

Best case, end of the rotation starter, in all likelihood, barring some sort of stuff improvement that no one is expecting. It's probably more likely, as his stuff is fairly average, that he'd be in the pen, but with the Cubs situation the way it is, wouldn't surprise me if he got some starts like Casey Coleman did.

What is the scoop on Yao-Lin Wang? Throwing the ball pretty well tonight for Boise and has been all year.

Can get his fastball up to 93/94 with decent-solid movement. Secondary stuff is raw, though. Not much projection with him.
