Szczur 2/2 with a 2B & HR!

Matt "Juan Pierre" Szczur is doing work.

I always think about that quote when Szczur hits a HR.

Just idiotic.

Who is that quote attributed to?

Keith Law, I assume. I obviously disagree with his assessment due to my biases. This was Szczur's first home run that left the park.

FYI, Reggie Golden is day-to-day with his sprained ankle. Not in Boise's starting lineup for the second straight day.

So he has 6 inside the park homers this year? If so wow.

I am amused with Law steadfastly sticking to his preseason comparison.

Pierre hit 1 HR in 946 minor league ABs and had a .062 IsoP. Going into today, Szczur had 6 HRs in 431 minor league ABs with a .116 IsoP.

First non-inside-the-parker at Daytona. All 5 at Peoria left the park.

Thanks for the clarification. I should have made that distinction clearer.

i love paul hoilman's line: .252/.408/.513/.920 with 9 home runs and 54 strikeouts in 37 games. seems like a real Three True Outcomes guy.

also, su-min jung and cam greathouse really should not be piggybacked, unless boise just wants to see how many opposing batters they can walk every 5 games.

I get the feeling that you actually thought that was his first over the fence HR of the year. It's ok if you own up to it.
