Found this amusing, figured this was a good place for it.

CONFESSION: I'm still baffled by a team that thinks Jeff Baker is too good to trade but not good enough to start ahead of Darwin Barney.

Would Sandberg really want the job if offered after how it went down last year? Wasn't he pretty ticked off that he wasn't hired? I know he wants to manage but I don't know if he'd come back to the organization after getting passed over.

Quade should have never been hired in the 1st place. I'm not saying Sandberg is the savior, but it's clear that the Cubs went on the cheap and thought the end of last season with Quade in charge was a glimpse into the future. So many things worked against Quade. Hendry, injuries, and slow starts. Then throw in some strange managing decisions by Quade (letting Hill hit at the end of a game, not pulling Marmol...those are recent things) and there you have it.

I don't know what the Cubs should do but they need to just blow it up and start over. A new GM and a new manager after the season would be a good start.

All I know is what's out there now and in the front office isn't working.

Sandberg said that he would come back in a recent interview with Waddle and Silvy. I think I saw a note about it on mlbtraderumors
