The better question is why would you use Soriano in that situation. Did Quade really think the Brewers wouldn't go to the sidearm throwing guy? That was a great example of a manager not putting his player in a position to succeed.

 

Carpenter needs to realize you can't just throw fastball after fastball to major league hitters. Throw a pitch close on 3-2 and Hart might have swung.
