Simpson - 4.2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 7-3 GO-FO

Casey Coleman had a no-hitter through 5 and only gave up 2 R (1 earned) through 6 but Jeff Stevens and John Gaub blew the big Iowa lead. They're now tied at 8 in the 8th.

For getting so many ground outs, Rhee sure does give up his share of HRs.

What a blah day down on the farm. Pitching was mediocre. Vitters and Szczur with days off. None of the other hitters doing much worthy of note.

blah.

I guess I was wrong about there being nothing to be excited about! :)

Solid outing for Rhee - 6 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 2 HR, 10-1 GO-FO. All 3 runs scored on the HR.

Rhee - 7 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 10-2 GO-FO. Really surprised he came out for the 7th. We'll see if it's one of those situations where MiLB.com has not accurately updated a reliever coming in.

Apparently Marcus Hatley pitched the 7th. MiLB.com has fixed Rhee's final line back to: 6 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 2 HR, 10-1 GO-FO

That may be the most talented Boise team I can remember seeing in quite some time. Lots of guys to keep an eye on. Also, I didn't realize Chen was being moved to center field.

The pitching staff at Boise will be the best since the days of Guzman and Willis. I'm envisioning a rotation of Luis Liria, Ben Wells, Yao-Lin Wang, Austin Reed and Jin-Yeong Kim.

Chen has been splitting time at CF and 2B but apparently his defense at 2B has been pretty bad.

shouldn't brandon may really be at a higher level than the AZL? dude played 3 years of sec ball and is 23 years old.

Brandon May is rehabbing because he has Valley Fever.

Thinking about going to the Chiefs game again Friday, any idea on the starting pitcher? Also is there anyone on South Bend worth watching?

I'm actually quite pleased that Struck's 2nd showing was decent. I thought that was a decent outing from Simpson, and pretty happy with Rhee's outing as well, as it seems like the stuff is playing up again.

yup, couple days ago, I think.

Very excited about the type of talent at Boise. Great pitching talent, but more intriguing is the fact that there is some decent power potential in Contreras, Geiger, and Golden. Positive reports on Cabezas, and curiosity on how Darvill adjusts to the swing adjustments he was supposedly working on as well as being slightly bigger physically are other things that I'm curious about. Heck, I'm curious about Amaya after a couple decent reports on him.

A bit disappointed to see Jon Nagel's name languishing in AZL on the projection. Now, I understand he's rehabbing, just disappointed because I remember the intrigue I had with his name a few years back.

Cuneo is off to a really nice start. I doubt he'll get a bump this year, but I hope I'm wrong.

You should see Cam Greathouse continue his quest to get to a K/1 IP and a BB/1 IP.

I'm hoping Kim ends up there too just to see 4 hitters with power potential.

Nope. Greathouse is Thursday. Our Friday starter is TBA...Hicks/Jung on Wednesday and Kirk on Tuesday.
