Lake walked to lead off the D-Cubs game today. That gives him 6 on the year against only 42 strikeouts. You're not...you're not good.

However, Justin Bour is. 4-for-4 today with 2 more doubles. :D

I really liked Graham Hicks a fair amount and thought he was the key to the deal, but I'll be curious to find out if he's added any more velo. There was some thought he would a few years back, but I don't think he ever did while in the Nats org. Still young enough that it could happen.

Lots of strikeouts from Wallach and Jung today.

Graham Hicks with his best outing of the year through 4.

4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K, 4/1 GO/FO.

The 4th inning was taken back from Hicks and given to Jung. Graham finished with 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 4-1 GO-FO.

oy, never understand why MiLB can make such gigantic mistakes in their boxscores. That said, still a solid start for him.

Really wouldn't mind seeing Harman get bumped up if he is still strong in a week or two. I'd rather see him get a rotation shot, but if they are keeping him in the pen, might as well challenge him.

Make that 5-5 for Bour.

As for Lake, I still have hopes for him. Hes finally hitting consistantly. If he can start taking some walks, he can move his way up the prospects list.

And where the hell is Szczur? Is he injured or not? If not, hes been at that graduation shindig for about a week now.

Peoria Journal-Star[/url]"]Matt Szczur is day-to-day. He missed the weekend series at Kane County for his college graduation and is “not feeling right” according to Kopitzke.

Not to ruin all the fun, but he got a slight injury and was removed from his last game before he left for the graduation. That's probably what he's referring to.

Boo! Sex, drugs, and booze are much more fun to talk about than a strained ribcage or whatever.
