Kings have made it privately clear that they expect to trade 7th pick, sources say. "They're confident they have deal," one official says.

If Burks is available in the late 10s, I wish the Bulls could trade up without parting with Taj or Omer. Don't think that's feasible.

Is Burks really worth that risk? Even if he is someday is a starter, he won't be right away. You'd be better off using Taj or Omer to get a guy like Mayo or to a lesser extent Lee who can play now and be a long term solution.

Oh yeah, I would only want to trade up for Burks if the Bulls didn't have to part with Taj or Omer.

Then what would you give up?

It's just wishful thinking as I see a guy I'd take in the top 10 falling close but not close enough to the Bulls' pick.

Milwaukee has a three-way deal with Charlotte and Sacramento, sources say.

Bucks taking over #7. Who knows what else yet.

Why would the Bulls take Singler if they already have Kyle Korver?

I'm not all that high on Singler's pro prospects, but him and Korver really aren't all that similar

Atlanta trying to trade Josh Smith to Minny for the #2 overall. Of course every team has talked to Kahn about the 2nd pick.

I'm so excited to see the spectacular way he messes this up.

They are both long range shooters, although Singler actually shoots worse from the perimeter. Neither have any ball handling skills worth anything, they thrive off catching and shooting. Singler may be passable on defense and might rebound better. He's regressed as a rebounder however; and I've read that his defensive skills won't translate well, especially with his lack of lateral quickeness, length and athleticism. I don't know anything about his passing game but since he can't drive or post up I don't see that being very valuable. They're both gonna be role players that run off screens and take jumpshots. And Korver is better at it.

I honestly don't know the two all that well and I'm sure there are better comparisons. I've heard the most agreed upon one is Kiki Vandeweghe, so obviously he's different from Korver in a # of ways. But to say they're not similar at all is not accurate.

Corrected deal: Bucks get Beno, Stephen Jackson, Shaun Livingston & 19. Bobcats get pick 7 & Maggette. Kings get 10 & John Salmons.

Bobcats having the 7th and 9th pick is interesting.

Korver is a much better shooter, obviously. Singler cannot even compare to Korver in that regard. However, Singler has just about everything else on Korver. He will be a better defender and will be a much better rebounder. Singler has about 20 pounds and an inch and a half on Korver, so he has the size to guard the opposing three. Singler can contribute without making his shots in a way that Korver cannot. If Singler could shoot like Korver, he would be a better asset.

From Singler's DraftExpress profile

Another player who is seemingly just a consistent jumper away from being a solid NBA rotation player is Kyle Singler.

I can't imagine reading a similar quote about Korver. I really don't think that Singler will be much of an NBA player, but I think the comparison is off-base. Probably having to do more-so with their looks than their play.

Sac gets the 10th pick and John Salmons.

lol

They needed a SF and have lots of cap space means the +1.5 mil won't bother them.

They have a wing position filled and save money on Jimmer or Kemba, whichever falls to them to fill their PG need.

Still not a great trade for them.

More of a combination of Sacramento acquiring after dumping him a few years back coupled with Milwaukee dumping him the year after they signed him. Something tells me he won't be with Sacramento for more than 2 seasons.

[expletive] me, Maggette and SJax are two of my 2nd scorer targets for the Bulls, Jackson especially.

LOL @Sacramento in that deal. They get Salmons back, 3 years older and a lot more expensive.

So they have cap space which means they can take Salmons' bloated deal, but they made it so they can save the salary difference of 3 spots in the top 10?

I literally just said I know they have a # of things different about them. Like not that long ago. I just don't buy that they're not similar at all.

The reason I made the comparison is because they're both role players who are good at catching and shooting. Singler struggled from long range but has been reported to be very fluid and mechanically sound. He was actually consistent and accurate at mid-range. It has nothing to do with them looking similar, I just compared what the most useful thing Singler will bring to his team. Since that team was the Bulls, I felt it was redundant to have another catch and shoot player. I'm no expert on the Bulls though, so I'm probably wrong there. Think they should get someone who can penetrate besides Rose. I do know there are multiple better options at that spot.

Singler's extra value from rebounding and defense is really not impressive and not worth a 1st round pick. His extra size doesn't mean much. He's soft, slow and has a crappy wingspan. The defense and rebounding coming from Singler will still be subpar at the NBA level. I would be surprised if he was mediocre at either one, maybe rebounding.

I'm having a hard time figuring out why Markieff Morris is sneaking in to the top half of the 1st round while someone like JaJuan Johnson is going at the top of the 2nd. If it means the Cavs can nab Johnson, that's awesome, but I still don't understand it.

Markieff is a much better rebounder and much stronger.

Hey, I just know that those 3 spots would save them money. Not that it was significant. I don't really know what Sacramento is going for, but that trade should not have been it. Unless they wanted to see Charlotte and Milwaukee get better.

Rumor that Sacramento is looking to deal the #10 and Salmons for Tony Parker and Richard Jefferson. The Spurs put this deal out early today and its legitimate, they've said they want to move into the mid-lottery as long as the other team agreed to take on RJeff's contract.
