seemed like dolis was struggling with his command (26 balls, 21 strikes), but hadn't allowed a hit and only three walks in 2.1 innings. hardly seems like enough to get pulled, so must be a physical issue of some sort.

The box score shows Ha getting caught stealing twice and getting picked off. A CS and a pickoff were the same play, after getting picked he ran for 2nd and got thrown out The other CS may have been a hit-and-run or something, since Bour struck out on the same play.

That kid can hit. I'm hoping he's not a terrible baserunner.

Dolis left the game with lower back spasms. Doesn't appear serious and he should be able to go for his next scheduled start. Apparently he was looking good during the time he was out there. Will post links when I get on a computer.

I was at the game. He was looking good (a couple walks but no hits allowed) but appeared to be holding his back after one of the walks (consistent with the back spasms report). The trainer and pitching coach came out, followed shortly by the manager, and he was taken out of the game.

At #Cubs AA game, Ryan Flaherty battered another ball to CF in the first, this time off the wall for an RBI double

Josh Vitters smokes a 2B off a brk ball into the LCF gap. Doing a lot of swinging in this series, but it is a heck of a swing

Cubs RHP Rafael Dolis issued two four-pitch walks in the first. Also escaped w no runs, was hitting top end of 91-96 regularly

Not clear why yet, but Cubs RHP Rafael Dolis left with some type of injury. Didn't appear to be in any pain, throwing 96

Update on #Cubs RHP Rafael Dolis: Left game with lower back spasm. Slipped on one of his pitches & tweaked it. Prob won't miss next start

Angel Guzman, Jon Nagel, Justin Bristow and Su-Min Jung got in rehab appearances today down in Arizona.

Guzman struggled to throw his fastball for strikes, but he had good velocity (92 MPH) on his heater, and both his change-up and curve looked OK. He allowed one run (earned) in one inning of work (16 pitches – 8 strikes), issuing a lead-off walk, with the run coming around to score after a stolen base and two ground outs.

I'm pretty pumped just to hear he's throwing with velocity.

Am I the only one here who thinks that its time for Flaherty to be given the bump to Iowa? He might not be the most exciting of the Smokies studs, but Iowa doesn't have much going on in terms of middle infielders, and more importantly, unlike Vitters, Jackson, and Lamahieu who are in the 22-23 age range, Flaherty is going to be 25 in July, and that might not seem like a huge difference, but in minor league baseball years, its a pretty big one. I'd be all for giving him the bump and trying him out at 2B.

Flaherty was as horrible in AA last year as he has been great at AA this year. It's April 20th, how about we wait until he has more than 130 PA's of a .760 OPS to declare that he's mastered the level.

Between Jackson, Ha, Szczur and Silva, the Cubs are suddenly very deep at center field.

Just wait until the Cubs draft Jackie Bradley, George Springer, or Mikie Mahtook.

Is there room for one more on the JH Ha bandwagon?

only if you're jumping on it because he's one of the younger players in his league and has shown excellent hitting skills and defensive ability, not because he's been hot for two weeks.
