Why is Barney batting 2nd when Fukudome is playing?

Because Barney is hitting .320 thus far and Fukudome hasn't played in the better part of a week with an injury.

It's Darwin Barney.

If Soriano stays put, Coleman can bunt both he and Fukudome over with Castro up next.

Instead, it's two outs and Coleman has to swing away. Brilliant, Soriano. Brilliant!

That was horrible. With Coleman up next, getting to 3rd wouldn't have even helped much. Coleman would have bunted Fukudome to 2nd and Soriano probably wouldn't have been able to score anyway. Should have Castro up with two on.

I'm getting tired of Marlon Byrd. Can we have a new CF?

i don't think marlon byrd is the problem, i think it's the fact that marlon byrd is hitting third. if we had a high obp, high power guy - say, at 1B or corner OF - byrd would be fine for what he gives you in CF.

The least he could have done is take a pitch or two to let Coleman catch his breath.

It's not so much that I think he's a bad player. I'm just not a fan of his style of play, I guess.

Koyie Hill has no value.

uh how about keeping the clubhouse positive buddy? you really think the cubs could have pulled off that 75-87 record last year without his top-notch leadership?

I've been following this on gametracker and my question is whether this is this actually worth going home to watch?

Castro has been amazing at the plate.

everything else...not so much.
