Gus is a play-by-play guy, a hype man. And a [expletive] fantastic one. He's not there for his basketball knowledge. That's why you have a color guy (not a COLORED guy, you racist).

 great personal attack. Tell me more about how you locked down Chicago for the '13 class please. When is Parker joining Nunn? Toolshed.

Leonard is so much better than anyone Iowa has.

How does your incoming 7 footer play? I hope they get to battle.

Hard to get a good grasp on a highly rated 7 footer playing in Iowa but they'll have their battles. He has to add some weight though. Leonard looks like he'd push him around right now and has about 15-20 pounds on him.

Hopefully like Leonard plays against Iowa.

I haven't seen him play at all, but from what I've read his game more resembles Mike Tisdale than Leonard. Granted a much more talented Mike Tisdale.

Alright Illinois, [expletive] you guys. We haven't won a BTT game since winning the title in '06. I'm sick of losing on Thursday. If Iowa wins they keep NIT hope alive and I wouldn't mind getting another shot at MSU in their first game without Dawson. More importantly they can avoid losing twice to Illinois and slam the door on Weber. Even though he's been bad recently and they could upgrade, I still hate his stupid face, voice and the fact that his mouth is always open.

What has to be killing you guys, is that Illinois fans will barely care if we lose. I mean yeah, losing to Iowa is a fate worse than death (though not as bad as losing to IU), but there are positive consequences to losing today (possibly no postseason, meaning the new coach can get in earlier)

Is it a foregone conclusion that Parker isn't coming to Illinois? Seems like all U of I fans can't wait to get rid of Weber, but firing him would seem to greatly reduce the chances of getting Parker.

Why if we retained Howard would it hurt our chances with Parker? Weber is a terrible recruiter. He whiffed on the entire '08 class FFS. He couldn't give away scholarships until JH showed up. I think all this is is an excuse for the Parkers to go elsewhere. I don't think he was ever coming here.

Last report I saw has Woodbury at 7'1 and 240lbs. That's not to say that Leonard won't have a significant advantage though. Those two years of playing B1G b-ball is huge. I think Woody can end up as good, though they are somewhat different types of players. He won't be nearly as good next year, though.

The problem with gauging Woodbury, and I'd imagine it was somewhat similar with Leonard in HS, is that he's constantly triple, and sometimes quadruple, teamed by 6-5 to 6-7 guys. WDM Valley yesterday was playing a triangle and two on him and pretty much giving the rest of the team open shots. They also didn't go into the lane much or try to get the ball inside against him, 30 of their 50 shots were 3s. The refs at the HS level in Iowa also give the benefit of the doubt to a smaller guy guarding a big guy. They'll let a 6'1 guy get away with much more if he's guarding a 6'5 guy, especially down low. Same for the bigger players. At least Woodbury will be used to the muggings they allow in the B1G, I've seen him wrapped up while trying to shoot and no foul called. I think he actually plays better against bigger players since they tend to go 1 on 1 with him and the refs call it more even.

Going 17-14 greatly reduced the chances of getting Parker.

The Parkers genuinely liked Weber, and as I said upthread, I'm convinced he would've came if they were good this year. The new coach has to not only establish a quick bond, but also get the team playing like they should in a hurry

They might like him a lot, but they also really like Romar. He's not going there either. He's going to Duke.

Now? Probably them or Michigan State.

Before, I think he was Illinois's to lose, and we lost him with this abomination of a conference season.

Parker's dad is full of [expletive]. Just like Richmond's dad and Gordon's dad. Everything is fine, goodnight.

What a shameful comparison.

-Daddy death threat is a vile human being.

-Bill Richmond just never reeled in his kid when he should've at a young age.

-I've seen nothing from Sonny Parker to show him to be less than on the level.

I keep hoping that one day Illinois will realize they are bad at jump shots. Ever since that stupid Ohio State game, they think they're just that good at jump shots all the time.

I know Illinois fans don't really care that much but this is a good game. Also, I think Cartwright stepped out on that Basabe dunk but I'll take it.

As someone who's stupid [expletive] office doesn't have BTN for some reason, are we just playing dumbass defense or what? How do you give up that many to Iowa this half?
