My question is regarding draft prep as well, but mainly about peoples draft strategy. Im in a 10 team, head to head points scoring league. Regular offense plus 2 utility players, 2 SP, 2 Rp, and 4 Pitchers and able to adjust lineup daily.

Am I wrong for going in with a strategy thinking if I dont get the 1st pick(Pujols) then I should focus on SS and 2nd with my 1st few picks? I keep looking at draft rankings, and it really seems like SS and 2nd are especially thin offensively, so if I were to be able to grab 1 of the top guys at each of those positions, rounding out the rest of my team should be much easier. Correct?

I just feel like 1st base, 3rd base, and OF are pretty deep and good quality players should be easier to find later on. Catcher is another thin spot offensively, and Im thinking bout grabbing a C rather early to solidify that spot. Even if its a bit of a reach according to draft projections. Is my thinking wrong, or no?

This is super late, but i think you'll be surprised how quickly the good OF are gone

Yeah, that snuck up on me a bit even though I'm in an auction league. There just aren't as many top tier OF as there were 5 years ago.

The good news is that there's plenty of guys who aren't bad.

SS is a wasteland too.

Hanley/Tulo > Reyes >>> Jeter/Rollins > Drew/Alexei >>> junk

How dare you speak about Starlin Castro in such a way.

Love him for real life value.

But as far as fantasy is concerned, I'd be happy if he helped with batting average and didn't hurt anywhere else.
