I hope his elbow snaps so I no longer have to deal with this. It's all far too painful

I think it's awesome that he's pitching again and dominating, even if it is only AAA.

I can't see any Cubs fan rooting against him.

Have you never been to Wrigley? Maybe it's just my bad luck, but I always end up getting a seat next to some [expletive] drunk dude who will spend the entire game complaining that Theriot was a much better player than Castro. Glad we didn't re-sign that lazy POS Aramis Ramirez. etc etc.

That's the type of person that would boo Mark Prior. Though, maybe I'm reading it wrong and he'll cheer for Prior and just wants all the non-whites off the team. Who knows.

Either way, I always get stuck next to a drunk idiot.

Nope, most Cubs fans are idiots. Most baseball fans are idiots. Most sports fans are idiots. There'd be plenty of buffoons out there harassing him about not being a man. Nolan Ryan threw 500 innings a year.

I was able to see the Paw Sox when they were in Buffalo, but unfortunately Prior pitched in the one game I didn't go to. The first game of the series I was able to watch him throw a bullpen session which was pretty cool. I also had him sign my jersey I've had since 2003 and I was able to wish him good luck in his comeback. Would have been nice to see him pitch in a game, but was still pretty cool.

mortensen is a reliever with the red sox

“In my opinion, he’s pretty damn close. He’s throwing the ball hard, locating his pitches and looks good,” said Mortensen, noting that Prior’s fastball has been 90-94 mph. “His fastball is pretty electric. He hides the ball well. A lot of guys get a lot of [downward] plane, but he throws that sneaky one that guys always swing underneath all the time, and he’s locating it to both sides of the plate. It’s worked well with his curveball. He’s getting both fastball and curveball strikeouts, which is huge.”

Mortensen has been rooming with Prior on the road, and has been as impressed by the right-hander’s attitude in his effort to return to the majors after being out since 2006 with a variety of injuries.

“He’s been enjoying it. He’s been awesome, man,” said Mortensen. “He’s a cool dude. It’s awesome talking with him. You tend to put him in a different category because of how dominant he used to be. … It’s fun. He’s having a good time, rather than being down from all of those years he’s been down. And his numbers are pretty good, too, which makes it even better.”

I just can't understand why this fool won't accept reality.
