Figured since Spring Training games get so little discussion on these boards anymore, it would be better off to do a game thread for a weeks worth of games, rather than an individual one for each game.

 

Week Schedule (all games at 2:05 PM CST unless noted):

Its an exhibition game in the middle of the afternoon. I definitely have interest in the team, but it will take a while to get me back to the point where Ill hang on every game from the first game of spring training until the end of the season when the E# hits 0 or they roll over in the playoffs.

yes, hockey.

 

the cubs won in 2007 because they spent a buttload of money on new players, didn't have mass injuries and pulled the plug on carlos marmol as starter. plus the division was a joke.

Edit: and there goes another 2-run shot. 4 runs on 1 walk, 2 hits and an error. Still only one out.

no 2011 game thread starter discussion either....i've never signed up to start a game thread, but this is another sign that the Cubs have lost some of the interest from those on this board....or maybe people are posting elsewhere..dunno.

Maybe silva isn't treating these games as an audition and is just doing what pitchers whose spot is secured do, which is work on their pitches

First outing is more fastball/change up pitching. I would be worried about the offense not hitting over the pitching at this point of ST.

Pitchers with a 6.00 ERA over the last 4 seasons probably shouldn't do that.
